Alex was back in his home by night that day and all he did was sleep peacefully after skipping dinner. In the morning, he used the floo powder to go to the transporter.
"Hello again, I want to travel the world to buy a few things so I just wanted to ask if you provide services for that."
"I don't send people to other countries but I do know someone who can. The information isn't free though."
Alex smiled "How much I wonder?"
The man raised one finger and waited for Alex, who took out a sickle and placed it on the table.
"One gold. Not silver."
"Hmm… alright. Here." Alex placed a Galleon on the counter and was about to take back the sickle when the fatso hurriedly snatched both the coins.
"Find the owner of the Hunters Den. He will help you out."
Alex placed another galleon on the table and said, "Hunters den."
"You know where the portkey is…"
"Mhmm."
He casually walked over to the shelf and picked one of the items there before he was teleported to the Hunters den. He still had the membership for six more days so he didn't have to buy it again.
He directly went to the counter, "Excuse me, can I talk to the person who owns this place please?"
"Umm… he is not here at the moment. If you'd like, you can meet his daughter and she's the one who manages this place when he is gone."
"Sure."
"Please wait in room number one."
Alex nodded and took the stairs to the next floor. The first door he saw was the door with number 001 written on it. He opened the door and sat down on the bed after he took off his shoes.
About fifteen minutes later, the door opened and the lady and the counter peeped in.
"She will arrive in a moment. Would you like something to eat or drink, sir?"
"Umm… a few cookies and water would be good enough, thanks."
The woman bowed and left while Alex had to wait for another half an hour before the door was opened again. This time, the one who entered was a gorgeous young lady. Alex couldn't help but stare at her, especially her eyes.
"Earth to you, kid. You're too young to be staring at me like that. Don't you think so?"
Alex coughed lightly, "I'm not a kid. I was born with dwarfism."
"So you are just like all the other perverts that I've met. Anyways, what do you want to talk about?"
"I want to go to different countries but I don't want to deal with all the bothersome rules and regulations of the ministry."
"Ah… okay. You can always use that service as long as you pay us enough. We have two packages, the first one only allows you to go there and the second one will give you a two-way trip."
"The price please. The two way one."
"Ten Galleons."
"Here you go."
"That was fast… alright come with me."
Alex nodded and stood up before following after her.
'Never expected her to be the one who bought the unicorn carcass from me the day before yesterday… there is no mistaking it, the eyes are the exact same.'
"I also want a guide who knows their fair share about the countries. My goal this time is to buy books and other things from there."
"Fifty Galleons for the best one." She said without looking at him.
"Alright."
Soon, they reached the top floor and stopped in front of a door with the number 420.
"Next time you want to go anywhere, you can come here on your own. They also provide guides."
"Understood."
The woman turned towards Alex with an impatient expression.
"What are you still standing here for? Go inside."
Alex rolled his eyes before opening the door. He looked inside to make sure that there were no traps. After seeing a few people and a lot of random things lined up in the shelves, he walked inside before closing the door.
"I would like to go to China. I already paid the daughter of the owner of this place."
One of the masked men nodded, "So you paid the little lady… okay. Do you want a guide?"
"Yes. Preferably someone who knows a lot about that country."
"Fifty Galleons."
Alex handed over the money and was given a black stone slab that had golden engravings on it.
"When you reach the other side, give this to the person sitting at the counter. Here, this boot will help you get there." Said the man as he looked at the old leather shoe floating in the air.
Alex simply touched the shoe and disappeared from the room while at the same second, he appeared in a large white room.
The entire place was empty, except for the lady who stood at the counter. He slowly walked over to her as he observed the traditional paintings and calligraphy that was hung on the walls.
He gave her the token and was about to speak when she placed her hand on his lips before shaking her head.
She then took out a small bamboo piece and showed it to him.
"You can't understand English huh…" he muttered after reading it's contents.
Before Alex could say anything further, she gave him another bamboo piece before opening the door behind her and walked inside.
"Now you want me to wait… oh well."
He only had to wait for a minute as she came back with another person following her.
She then placed two ceramic bottles on the counter and pointed at one of them.
"What? this is mine?"
She nodded and Alex put the bottle in one of the pockets of his robe.
The lady vigorously shook her head and took the bottle out of his pocket before opening the lid. She then took out a brownish ball before shoving it into his throat.
Alex coughed but the ball was already in his stomach. His head hurt for a few seconds before everything went back to normal.
"Can you understand me now?"
"HUH?"
