When Eason told me he had a surprise, I wasn’t expecting anything on this scale.
The house stood before me like something out of a dream. A vast, sprawling estate nestled on the edge of the woods. The property was surrounded by towering trees, their leaves whispering in the breeze, creating a natural barrier between us and the rest of the world. It was secluded, private—just what I needed.
We hadn’t even gone inside and already I could feel something shift in my chest, a sense of belonging I hadn’t felt in years. There was space to breathe here, space to run. I could already imagine my wolf form bounding through the trees, feeling the earth beneath my paws, finally free.
Eason stood beside me, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he watched my reaction. I could tell he was nervous, waiting for my response.
“Eason…” I breathed, my voice barely above a whisper. “This is… it’s perfect.”
