Bab 98: Dissonance

When Sayuri awoke, she noticed there were more feathers than usual lying on the ground. Her head hurt as if she had drunk too much alcohol. Groaning, she cleaned up the mess her wings had made. The succubus was humming quietly in her cage as if she had no care in the world. 

Sayuri contemplated whether she should drop by John's place again, but a look at the clock revealed she hadn't slept for long. It was barely beyond four in the morning. Wondering why she woke, the Tengu headed upstairs. 

"Ah, you are awake after all. I called you several times, but it seems you were deep asleep." Matt said, his back facing her. He was crouching over something. "I need you to finish the job and clean up. I managed to soil my white shirt."
