Bab 47: Who Else Would It Be?

"If I may, sir," Miss Florentino began, "I believe it would be best for you to greet the lower floors rather than speaking to only executives. There have been doubts about the organization of the company since you disappeared without a trace. Rumors that you were purposefully removed despite your previous work at the company made the foundation of the company feel less stable. You can always set up a more serious meeting with the executive on a future date when you remember things more clearly." 

They were riding the elevator down to the 22nd floor and Luca patiently listened while Miss Florentino explained her reasoning for taking him to lower offices. 

All he could do was nod. They had already formulated something for him to say when they arrived.
