Bab 283: The Illusion of Luxury

All Sophia wanted was some assurance, but every time the conversation started to head in the direction of Luca, everyone assured her he knew what he was doing.

His plan got so much harder to see the more tired she felt. The bond was starting to feel like shackles since she was always left in the dark. Luca did as he pleased without telling her and she felt completely lost.

She didn't know how to be comforted and no one knew exactly how to comfort her but spending time with Rachel and Ethan at least made her feel less alone. They were in that situation because of Luca just like she was. If anyone could be understanding it was them. 

During moments of reflection, she felt bad that she was taking distance so hard when Rachel had lost her bond completely yet she was finding ways to be happy each day. Because she was able to smile, Sophia tried to make efforts to be happier even if it was forced. It started to feel authentic sometimes.
