Bab 194: Second Chances

Brent was back at the mansion.

During that time, Irene was relaxing inside the gazebo that was located near the garden at the back of the house.

Brent planted a kiss on her cheeks and then on her baby bump. "The weather is good today, sweetie," he commented casually.

"Yeah, loving the breeze here in the garden," Irene responded with a smile.

Brent settled into the chair beside her.

"How's Carl and the office?" Irene asked.

"Carl is fine, the business is doing well, everything is good," Brent replied, trying to hide the uneasiness growing in his mind after discovering the empty coffin. He was already waiting for retaliation from Aurora and from her wizard friend to happen anytime soon.

"I'm glad everything is fine," Irene said, shifting her attention back to the flowers.

Brent composed a message informing Carl to come to his house immediately. After sending the message, he said, "I'm inviting Carl to come here to discuss business."
