Bab 54: Circling Around

"I thought you were a hardened criminal when we first met," I said.

"What? I thought you were a scary scam artist or maybe a killer that is good at acting."

I chuckled, "If I am, I guess I'm better than you. I think you need to attend some more acting lessons," I said.

"What?"

"What do you mean what?"

"I'm not acting. This is how I am, bastard," Siti said.

Again, I let out a chuckle. This time it was brief, "Hmm. Okay let's just go with that," I said.

"Ugh, is it really obvious?" 

"Well, you sometimes get out of character when you're afraid"- I took a brief pause, "Wait, did you just admit it?" I said.

"You're already sure that I'm putting on an act anyway," Siti groaned, "I need to control my fear more," she said.

"You think it's worth it? You know, putting on an act to appear intimidating to the other players."
