Bab 98: Sleepless Night

Time passed while he lay flat on his back, looking at the dark ceiling. Drake was drowsy, unable to sleep well. Anger crept over his skin, clawing his arms with increasing tenacity until he couldn't resist anymore. With a surge of energy, he pushed the covers off of his legs, though careful not to wake up Hope.

He stood straight in front of the window, looking at the full moon and the stars that accompanied it. The peaceful atmosphere given by the moonlight's cold caress could not penetrate his soul. Although he had risen from the table immediately after his father had said those words, he could no longer find the calmness he had so desperately wanted to maintain.
