"Hah... you're right Henry. I'm so sorry I let everyone down, I was hopeful that this young artist would take the offer....but alas.." Noah sighed as he gave the phone to Henry.
"Hey that's not true, we're all in this together. Besides all of us decided to open this company...it's not your fault." Henry patted his best friend's back.
The two have been close since they were in elementary school, though they parted ways in college they remained close friends.
Ding!
Henry turned on Noah's phone. as he heard the notification. "Hey you have a message-"
"Give it!" Before Henry could finish, Noah swiped his phone away from Henry's hand. He read the message and instantly rose a wide smile. "W-We did it! We have our first Artist!!"
Noah raised his hands happily facing his friends. Hearing the news, and reading the message from Noah's phone, they all rose a happy smile.
"We finally have our first Artist!" Noah immediately replied to Ethan's message. "I gave him our exact location, which means we have to do our best and show him that although we are new we can manage to try and keep up with the other companies!"
"Yes sir!" The five replied simultaneously.
After an hour, Ethan was outside of the building. It was small, but it does have a signage above. Ethan knew what he was getting into, but to fulfill the objective faster, Ethan chose the fastest route.
"Welcome, Mr. Patel!" Noah greeted and he immediately toured Ethan inside.
Though the décor wasn't that much, what amazed Ethan was that the company had numerous equipment. Though the equipment wasn't that pricey, it was still something to praise that a new company had everything.
"So this is Henry, Amanda, Ryan, Rachel and Peter. We are the only employees for now.." Noah embarrassedly said.
"Henry is the sound technician. Rachel is the graphic designer. Ryan is the promoter. Amanda is the event coordinator and Peter is the accountant.." Noah introduced each of his co-workers to Ethan.
"It's nice to meet you, I'm Ethan Patel." Ethan bowed his head and immediately grimaced. 'Forgot, they don't do these types of greetings..'
"Oh, nice to meet you too! It would be our pleasure to work with you, Ethan." Rachel said.
"I saw your video on ITube, you have some good vocals, and the lyrics were amazing. I could feel the deep emotion from the lyrics." Henry commented.
"Thank you.." Ethan replied with a warm smile. He turned around to face Noah who was fidgeting. "I want to take your offer, Mr. Brooks."
"Ehh really! Oh umm! I have a contract with me, but first, I'm going to hire a lawyer so we both can talk about the weight of the contract.." Noah delightfully said as he immediately took his phone out.
"Sure, but umm I want to ask if it's alright that after I sign the contract I would immediately release two record singles? My two songs have been uploaded to ITube and I'm afraid someone would try to steal them since I don't have a copyright of my songs written on paper." Ethan said.
There were cases of some songs being taken due to the owner's lack of possession of his or her song. Ethan doesn't want his song to be sung by someone else due to his negligence.
"Of course! I will immediately set that up for your Mr. Ethan!" Noah was already smiling.
They have been having trouble with their financial situation but with two record singles released in no time. Noah was already aiming to relinquish the loss they had.
"Since you two are done talking, why don't I take Ethan to the studio? I have all sorts of instruments there and we can plan on how the record single is made." Henry said to which Noah nodded in response.
The two of them were inside the studio.
"So I haven't properly introduced myself, I'm Henry Reid."
After shaking hands, Henry sat on his seat. "So I watched the video, it was perfect. The guitar and your voice, but I was thinking of adding a piano note especially when the chorus hits. And some of you know background songs?"
"Sure, that sounds good," Ethan replied.
"Great! So we can try to record tomorrow?" Henry was very excited, he was ready to go all out.
"Sure, I also need a few bucks.." Ethan embarrassed said.
"Great! So about the second song?" Henry asked.
...
"Wow, it reached 15 million views in one day?" Hannah said shocked seeing the number of views on her friend's ITube post. "Does this mean you're going to get rich?"
"Although the amount of views is astronomical, Alexa can't earn money from this post cause first, she has to monetize her account," Jane explained to Hannah.
While Alexa was still perplexed seeing the amount of views her one post had made. But most of all, Alexa was intrigued by the comments. Many positive comments made Alexa happy.
"By the way, he didn't perform today. I passed through Times Square and didn't see him busk." Jane said.
"Maybe he stopped?" Hannah replied.
"Of course not, with his vocals plus his songs, I'm thinking he might have gotten scouted. I mean the video did go viral, some entertainment companies must have tried scouting him." Jane added.
"It's that easy?" Hannah asked as she put her arms on Alexa's shoulder. "Gurl, take a video of me doing some exercise I bet it would go viral!"
"Umm.." Alexa was uncomfortable due to her friend's expectant gaze.
"Why don't you cut it out, Hannah? Besides who would want to see a girl doing some exercise? Creeps maybe?" Jane with an annoyed tone said.
"Whatever, at least I could get some followers on Onstagram!" Hannah replied.
It was the same as usual, her two friends arguing with one another. Alexa sighed, she turned around to face her computer screen. She decided to ignore her two friends shouting behind her back as she immersed herself reading the positive comments.
Cheer me up with stones!...
