Late at night, everyone in the Fosters' household was asleep.

Chloe Collins turned over in her bed, and Alex, upstairs, did the same.

If they were in the same room, they would be facing each other.

Before long, they both turned over in sync once more.

The door opened.

Chloe went out to get a drink of water.

Soon, she heard movement coming from the second floor.

She turned around and saw Alexander Foster standing on the stairs.

The instant their eyes met, she blurted out, "Good night."

Then she quickly walked back to her room.

Alexander watched the young Miss Collins' retreating figure, chuckling lowly before tossing back, "Good night," from a distance.
