Bab 180: The Enchanting Family

Immediately, the murmur ceased and all eyes went to the grand staircase. Different gasps echoed from many areas of the big banquet hall. Lips parted and eyes opened wide, the silent nobles just fixed their gazes on the family of three.

The Grand duke as always remained peerless and handsome, despite his age. He was not like the duke who did not attend any event for some time, so the spectating nobles were not surprised to see him. Though some noblewomen couldn't help but throw glances at the Grand duke's way. In their hearts, they were cursing the late Grand duchess for having such a man so dedicated to her. The Grand duke, up till now, has not taken a fancy to any lady after the late Grand-duchess's death, and they knew that she was the main reason for that. They were so jealous to the point their teeth started to hurt.
