''Ugh…'' A tiny groan escaped Damien's lips as Little Gerald dashed straight to his back.

''Brother?'' Like every moment, little Gerald was very sensitive to his big brother. The tiny groan that Damien tried to hide, escaped from his lips and Little Gerald's ears picked up that sound immediately.

As swift as the harsh wind, Little Gerald distanced his little body from his big brother's and stared at the latter with worry evident in his eyes. ''Brother?''

Why was his brother in pain? Little Gerald wondered. He knew that people in pain would release that groaning sound. His father's subordinate during training would always make that sound after many duels with his father. That's how little Gerald had learned the sound of pain from people older than his age. It was very different from him, crying during his painful moments.
