Bab 349: You Can't Always Protect Her.

Nicklaus scanned the dining hall as he walked in, "Where is Arissa?" he asked when he saw Geal alone. 

"She left," Geal replied. He raised his face from his meal and pointed at Arissa's unfinished meal, "I tried to cheer her up but it wasn't possible. Her appetite left the moment the call came. She suspected it to be from the higher-ups," 

Nicklaus swallowed and walked towards the table. Staring at Arissa's meal, he added more plates to her tray and carried it together with a glass of juice and water. 

Geal watched Nicklaus arrange the tray. He swallowed his meal, cleared his throat, and asked, "What was the conversation about?" there was concern in his voice. 

Nicklaus raised his eyes and fixed it on his friend. He stayed quiet for a second and when he parted his lips to reply, his voice came out raspy as his emotions weren't stable yet. 

"Mr. Robert called. Funny how he tried to threaten me with the information he got from whosoever_"
