Janet got her hopes up when she heard her manager that she would take care of Alvin's side. Nevertheless, her dream bubble burst right after her manager's next words.

News leaking in any other way would severely damage Janet's reputation. So it has to be Janet speaking about it first.

Janet will have to play a character of a remorseful mother to gain the sympathy of netizens. Claire even planned out Janet's speech to earn compassion rather than curses.

Janet's eyes widened in disbelief as soon as Claire's words registered in her mind. She realized her manager misunderstood the whole thing. She frantically stood up and ran out of the bedroom. 

Alvin might have said the media and netizens will dig her truth out but Alvin planned for her to accept her truth.
