There was a time when I wanted nothing more than to be back in my rightful place as a goddess. But now that I was back, I suddenly felt trapped.

The air here was crisp and perfect, with not a single flaw to taint its purity. Everything in this realm gleamed with an otherworldly light—sterling rivers, towering golden spires, and sprawling fields of eternal blooms. It should have felt like home. But all I could feel was the gnawing emptiness within me.

I stood on the edge of my domain, where one could see the entirety of the realm with just a glance. Flames danced around me, licking at the edges of my gown—a reflex of my power, constant and unbidden. It was magnificent, breathtaking even. Yet it was hollow.
