ARIANNE POV
I stood by the bedside, nervously playing with the belt on my robes, the soft fabric slipping through my fingers as I tried to calm my racing thoughts. The silence of the room seemed to amplify the sound of my own heartbeat, each thud echoing in my ears like a drumbeat of apprehension.
I couldn't help but think about the plan Tag'arkh and Aquarina had concocted. I was kept in dark, they didn't want to tell me because they thought Nyana might find out about it anytime she decides to invade my mind and that would ruin our plans in the whole process.
I actually thought it was a great idea and the safest, but I still wanted to know. I don't like not knowing but I knew it had to be done. Apparently what I had to do was just wait now.
