Bab 142: Secrets

She shifted in the bed hoping to feel Raf's body underneath the palm of her hands, but when she spread her hand to his side of the bed, she felt nothing. The sheet and the pillow were empty and cold. She hastily opened her eyes to see for herself, and he was gone.

Lights were streaming through her windows, indicating that the sun was already up. She recalled that she was quite exhausted last night that she could barely keep her eyes open. She must have passed out on the couch, finding that she was still wearing her clothes from last night.

She stretched lazily on the bed, thinking that he must be just outside or in the kitchen preparing for breakfast. Or maybe he had gone home last night. She tried to look at her nightstand, checking if he left her a note.

She stood up and went to the bathroom to prepare herself for the morning and changed into more comfortable clothing. She just wanted a cup of coffee to finally wake her up and start her day.
