Bab 110: Rise

The Mark of the Willow Spell slowly took shape on his Tower's walls.

The power was intoxicating.

If the continuous and strike-type Spells Morne had been casting up until this point felt like a well of power he could tap into at any time, giving him a much-needed sense of agency in his own life, this temporary Spell felt like an overwhelming river of raw force.

It didn't take any more Chimh than his other Spells and it didn't guzzle his energy faster, and if anything carving this particular Mark was much slower than his other Spells' Marks had been, but that Mark pulsed with a power the others couldn't match.

Thirty minutes had passed when Willow's Mark was finally done, but to Morne, it felt like only a few seconds. He almost felt… sad, that it was over, but the Spell soon took effect and made him forget such thoughts.
