Bab 22: Part Twenty-Two

"Never you ever speak to me again in that tone," Jada warned Lucas as soon as they reached a private corner, her tone hard and low conveying her anger and irritation at the untimely interruption that still hard her blood running hot and having her second in command summon her as if she was a dog.

"I am sorry, " Lucas apologized in a low tone looking away from the intense brown eyes regarding him as if he is a roach she wants to squash. Lucas had not meant to talk to her in that manner, but whenever he sees her with someone else it tends to rub him the wrong way and what makes it worse is that she has never once looked at him like someone she will consider being with, and that to Lucas who had been in love with her ever since they became acquainted when she was still a drug runner, hurts so badly especially when he has to see her in other peoples arms.
