Bab 72: The Beach Trip

Justin seemed to get twitchier the closer they got to their beach trip. At first Emily thought it was because of midterms but after midterms passed he only seemed to get worse.

Multiple times she asked him if he was okay and he always deflected with 'I'm fine.' Clearly, he was not fine. But if he didn't want to tell her something there was no force on earth that could get him to spill.

The Sunday of the trip finally arrived and Emily spent all morning preparing the picnic. She made barbecue chicken sandwiches, chocolate cupcakes, and even sliced up a watermelon. More than anything she hoped that the beach would be able to cheer him up. She missed the more relaxed version of Justin.

Since it was only the beginning of May it was far too cold to go swimming. Emily wore a pair of capris and a striped green, white, and blue tee shirt with some flip flops. Any other shoes getting sand in them would be torture.
