It was an incomplete transformation, only causing his arms to break put in crimson lightning scale, but still allowed Lucius to attack with a whole new level of power! 

Tyler and Chris saw this and didn't take any chances.

A deep blue light flowed in their eyes as they channelled mana around them forming a reinforced shield to endure Lucius's atttack.
