Seeing those red-eyed, demonic beasts with dagger-like fangs and scaled multi-pointed wings descending and positioning themselves in the air just behind the blond Archdemon must have had triggered something in him because he suddenly felt feverish.

Hot then cold.

With gritted teeth, Apollyon clutched his bare chest to calm his quickening heartbeat while he leaned his palm against the rough, stone wall in front of him.

Cold sweat gathered around his forehead and back, sending chills down his spine and goosebumps to break out of his clammy skin.

Apollyon's muscles grew tense as he glanced around without moving his head.

Was his hiding place too narrow that his breaths abruptly shortened? What came next were lightning flashbacks in his mind's eye.
