Bab 188: Defeated

Will was still reeling from what just happened when the three-way video call ended. What was he supposed to do now? He couldn't kill the guy when there were multiple witnesses to him being at the scene!

Especially when one of them was his wife. He nearly had a heart attack when Eva suggested calling her but it was even worse when he saw that she had been crying.

He had come here with the intention of getting this pest out of the way once and for all but he had hesitated. If he hadn't let Abramson stall him and show the picture of the wedding on Facebook, none of this would have happened.

He felt like a total idiot. He had been outfoxed by a couple of chatterboxes.

Eva was every bit as talkative as Hazel had told him. Even hearing about his favorite person in the world had been taxing after a few minutes because of the stress of the situation. He was desperately waiting for the call to end so he could figure out what to do next.
