Bab 149: Chapter 152: First-Year Issues Must Be Solved by Themselves!

Wilson Wright.

After two years, Harry saw him again.

He had once protected him during his time in Muggle elementary school, allowing him to enjoy a relatively pleasant school life. Eventually, Wilson disappeared without a trace, leaving no information behind.

Now, it seemed less surprising that Wilson would end up at Hogwarts.

When he graduated, Wilson didn't inform any of his classmates or friends; he simply vanished from their lives because he was a wizard.

"Wilson..."

Harry stared blankly at the gray-haired student.

The gray-haired student was sitting with two others, the same ones Harry had seen at the station. One of them had asked where Wilson was, and the other had answered that Wilson was studying in the train carriage, so they didn't dare disturb him.

From their height and build, Wilson and his two companions seemed out of place sitting in the front row, surrounded by a group of older students. They stood out, yet it seemed so natural.

This was because Wilson Wright was always highly respected.

Anyone who had met Wilson, whether they were students with kind hearts who wouldn't think of bullying others or those who feared being bullied, respected and even adored him.

"That's Wilson Wright," Ron Weasley whispered to Harry Potter. "I saw him at a Quidditch match. He's quite intimidating."

"He's not that scary..."

A smile tugged at Harry's lips.

"You know him?" Ron's eyes widened with curiosity.

Could it be true? Did Harry Potter know this Wilson Wright, the one from Hogwarts? Why did the person Harry mentioned sound different from the one he heard about from his brothers?

At that moment, one of the students whispered something to Wilson, and all three turned their heads to look at the group of new students entering the Great Hall.

"That's my cousin!" Elvin Bones smiled, looking at the round-faced Susan Bones among the first years. Noticing her teary eyes, he frowned, "Who bullied her?"

No brother could tolerate seeing his sister bullied, especially someone like Elvin Bones, who was deeply loyal to friends and even more so to family. His expression turned dark.

"Don't worry," Wilson said calmly, comforting Elvin's rising anger. "We'll find out soon enough."

"Wilson," Cedric quickly interjected, trying to prevent his friend from causing trouble. "Don't stir up any issues during the Sorting Ceremony. Professor McGonagall hates that."

"How could I?" Wilson's lips curled into a smile as he whispered to Cedric, "Even condemned prisoners get a last meal... we'll wait until the feast is over, won't we?"

Cedric's face fell, and even Elvin seemed inclined to intervene.

"Let's wait until after the Sorting and the feast," Wilson said, cutting off any further discussion. His gaze fell on Susan Bones, who was nervously avoiding eye contact, and then moved to Harry Potter.

Their eyes met, and Harry excitedly raised a hand to wave. Wilson shook his head slightly, signaling Harry not to disrupt the atmosphere.

Finally, someone who could change Hogwarts had arrived. No, two people, including Professor Quirrell at the staff table.

Many others had noticed Harry Potter as well. Dumbledore, seated at the head table, smiled warmly. Snape's expression was unreadable as he stared at the young boy. Professor Quirrell tried to smile at Harry.

As expected, before the Sorting Ceremony began, Headmaster Dumbledore started with his usual warnings about the forbidden areas of Hogwarts, including the Forbidden Forest, which always sparked the curiosity of the young wizards.

This year, Dumbledore emphasized the restrictions on the fourth-floor corridor, practically inviting curious students to explore.

Wilson, aware that the Ministry had returned the Philosopher's Stone to Dumbledore, felt everything was back on track.

'I feel like I haven't done anything...' Wilson mused.

As a Hogwarts student, he had never broken any school rules, not even stepping into the Forbidden Forest. Was that a bit embarrassing?

Of course, if Wilson claimed he hadn't done anything, Peter Pettigrew would like to disagree.

As Wilson pondered whether he should find an opportunity to explore the Forbidden Forest, Professor McGonagall announced the start of the Sorting Ceremony, calling up the first student.

"Abbott Hannah!"

A little girl hurried out from the crowd. When the Sorting Hat touched her head, it immediately shouted, "Hufflepuff!"

The entire Hufflepuff table erupted in applause, warmly welcoming their new member.

Cedric, sitting at the edge, helped the blushing girl with her cutlery, making her blush even more.

After all, a senior's warmth could be very comforting!

Wilson watched his friend with a slight twitch in his eye. Before he could say anything, Professor McGonagall called out another familiar name.

"Bones Susan!"

The little girl, wiping her tears, sat on the stool. Within seconds, the Sorting Hat declared, "Hufflepuff!"

This was the second student sorted into Hufflepuff. As Elvin Bones prepared to comfort his cousin, a blond boy's sneering comment reached their ears, "Hmph, the Bones family. Of course, they're in Hufflepuff..."

Elvin's face fell.

Wilson, maintaining his calm demeanor, quietly instructed, "Go check on your cousin first. Don't disrupt the Sorting Ceremony."

"Yes," Elvin agreed, nodding.

Since they were close to the new students, Wilson and Elvin's conversation didn't go unnoticed. A group of first-years looked curiously at the older students.

Wilson's gaze fell on the blond boy who had spoken. It was Draco Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy's son, a rather arrogant boy.

Of course, Draco wouldn't know that the gray-haired boy watching him had once almost frightened his family to death.

"Hmph..." Draco turned away, too proud to show weakness, but too intimidated to argue with older students.

Fortunately, the Sorting Ceremony continued to draw Wilson's attention.

"Granger, Hermione!"

A bushy-haired girl nervously approached the stool, sat down, and after a moment, the Sorting Hat declared, "Gryffindor!"

The Gryffindor table burst into applause.

"Gregory Goyle!"

"Slytherin!"

Some students, particularly those from well-known pure-blood families, were sorted almost instantly.

Wilson's fingers tapped rhythmically on the table as he counted the familiar names among the new students. Elvin leaned in, whispering, "Malfoy made Susan cry! Hannah told me everything. He was mocking Hufflepuff, but he's just a first-year brat!"

As a third-year student, bullying first-years was beneath him.

At that moment, Professor McGonagall called out Malfoy's name.

"Malfoy Draco!"

The blond boy cautiously approached the stool, clearly nervous about his sorting. Fortunately, the Sorting Hat barely touched his head before declaring, "Slytherin!"

Draco's face broke into a relieved smile.

As the Sorting Ceremony progressed, the Sorting Hat seemed to get the hang of it, performing its task with increasing speed.

For example, Ron Weasley was immediately sorted into Gryffindor, just like his family.

"Weasley Ron!"

"Gryffindor!"

Wilson continued tapping his fingers, seemingly indifferent to Elvin's complaints, yet hearing everything. "Elvin, I have to do something for my friend, right?"

"But Malfoy is just a first-year..."

Elvin's expression soured.

"Don't worry," Wilson said with a calm shake of his head, "Do you think I'm the kind of person to bully first-years? First-year issues should be handled by themselves. If a Slytherin causes trouble, we should go to the Slytherin prefect..."

Of course, there was more to it.

A Malfoy causing trouble meant the issue should be addressed with Lucius Malfoy himself.
