Bab 1798: Peak

Ryu and the Dao Sovereign looked at one another in silence. The latter could tell that Ryu had no fear of him, but that also made sense. 

Any genius who could form a Founding Dao was a monster amongst men and a Goddess amongst women. They would naturally be haughty. 

This time, it was Ryu's turn to be surprised, because the Fey man didn't react with anger or haughtiness of his own. 

He simply nodded. "I look forward to watching your performance. Once you become a Transcended, with your strength, I can make an exception and allow you to command a battalion. Your military merits have already been calculated. You may go."

Ryu looked at the man curiously for a moment, and in the end he did something he never did. 

He cupped his fists and then turned to leave.
