Bab 1682: Instead

Ryu looked into the skies calmly, his expression tranquil. 

When he looked back toward Elena, he surprisingly found that her expression wasn't the same as what he expected. 

He thought he would see panic, trepidation, maybe even hints of fear, but there was none of that. Instead, she looked back at him with a fiery gaze as though she was ready to fight to the death. 

Ryu smiled and caressed her cheek. 

She had taken his words the wrong way, but it was his fault. If he truly had the strength to flip the skies upside down with a palm, she wouldn't have to show such a fierce expression. She would be completely relaxed, entirely at ease, unmoved by any shaking or quaking in the environment. 

In the end, it was all his fault.
