Their room was neither grandeur nor special, it was where newly hired servants lived. Maids, gardeners, cooks, cleaners and stable men loitered outside the room causing rackets. "How long are we going to stay here?" Colby asked others.
Anna was sitting on the bed with Fern. "We can't just leave from here. We need to see how they are doing?" She said.
"And how will staying here let us know that?" Colby asked.
Fern grabbed the light green drapes with worry in her eyes. "That woman and that girl, they were..." her words broke. "And Osmond... he turned into something we don't know of."
"But he saved us all and I think that is what that matters. I think we should go and talk to Osmond," he said and rose to his feet.
