Bab 131: Karna

Light and dark came through his eye slits as he was carried. He saw shadows of men carrying the neck from four sides. The ropes scraped on his scales and sunk into his skin. The poison and the motion made his head dizzy.

"Toss it over there," someone spoke.

He felt his body hit on a stone floor. His back ached, but the poison numbed the pain; there was something good from it after all.

For how long he slept, he didn't know. But when he woke up, the only thing that brought light to where he sat was dim torches that smelled of oil and soot. The net was taken off from him and from the dim white light that came from the small window in his cell, he guessed it was night; and a dark night at that.
