As Zeph walked toward the telapod terminal, leading the way for the others, he should have been thinking about what he was going to cook for Zimbo and everyone else, but his thoughts were not on food.

His mind was completely focused on making Laxana squeal with delight and stroking Sonya's long tail as he scratched behind her ears just how she liked until she started purring or pounced on him unable to endure any longer.

Lilith, Krynienne, and Allison all looked at him knowing that his thoughts were lustful ones that they might find delicious, but even they had a hunger for actual food, and curiosity was driving them crazy when it came to wondering what he was going to make.
