After the engagement, Bobby and Lady Louisa walked out of the hall together. He didn't speak and followed behind her.
"Why are you following me?" she asked, thinking that he had ungentlemanly intentions. "Let's chat," Bobby said calmly. He realized that he had never talked to her properly before. "Don't get any ideas just because we're engaged," she said coldly, hiding her face behind the veil. Bobby was baffled.
"I only want to talk," Lady Louisa's face reddened. They found a quiet place and sat opposite each other while servants brought them food and drinks. Bobby signaled for the servants to leave.
Lady Louisa stared at him, waiting for him to speak. She was eager to hear what he had to say. She figured he was just a gold digger who wanted an easy ride up the ladder.
She assumed he had to say something to try to impress her, but when Bobby spoke, she realized there was more to him than blue hair and a confident smile.
