Sam felt the forest quaking as if a giant beast was emerging from beneath. "Everyone, watch out! There's likely an array set up here!" Although Sam tried to remain calm, his mind was racing. In the face of the unknown, they formed a circle, backs against each other, scanning their surroundings. The trees continued to shake, but they slowly regained their composure. "The trees aren't actually shaking. It's an illusion from the array," Philip observed sharply. Having been internal students for some time, Sam and Philip had been on several missions and had considerable experience. This forest's array specialized in illusions, toying with people's perceptions. However, they refrained from acting hastily, as they were not accustomed to dealing with arrays. Only Sean from their group had experience with arrays, but he had vanished earlier.
