Bab 130: "It's unfair."

Days have passed, and everything has settled down except for Jerrod's heart.

Peace hasn't found him because his love hasn't yet opened her eyes.

"The doctors said you'll be fine, but why aren't you waking up yet?"

He keeps talking to Larissa, even though there is no way he could hear a response from an unconscious patient.

His gaze was only on Larissa's face as his hallucination, the "ghost," crept up his back and hugged him.

Jerrod knows his hallucinations will come back again because of everything that happened to him and to Larissa. He knows how to deal with it or avoid it, but he could never learn how to get rid of it. It keeps coming back.

Muddy head, wounded body, blood-soaked clothes.

He feels like the ghost was mocking him because it changed its appearance to exactly how Larrisa looked when he picked her up from the burial vault.
