His countenance softened, Lucas let out a chuckle. He reread the messages he received from Liliana. Just simply reading them deepened his smile.

Because Lucas was still on the bike, he didn't notice Liliana's texts until he arrived at his family home. It seemed like she messaged him twice, one as soon as she reached home and the other right after she talked to her mother about their new relationship.

Standing close to the bike, Lucas quickly replied to Liliana. His lips melted further into the softest smile as he recalled the way they parted earlier.

[Lucas: I was on my bike, didn't see your texts until now]

[Lucas: What's your mom's favorite dessert? I should make it when we meet]
