Never in Liliana's wildest dream that she imagined having another family aside from Cassia. Her small world only revolved around her mother as they relied on each other.

Cassia rarely opened up about Liliana's grandparents. The latter only knew that they were a happily married couple despite having their life cut short by a car accident.

A truck crashed into their vehicle.

The tragedy occurred when Cassia was away because of her high school field trip.

Liliana didn't ask further about her maternal grandparents. Her young mind simply refused to upset her mother by bringing the couple up, thinking that her mother would be saddened if she tried asking more.

When the next morning came, Liliana acted as usual as if Old Madam Shen didn't reveal something important to her last night. She needed more time to think of the next course of action.
