Bab 39: I Am Not A Pervert

They sat with enough space between them. Nessa seems to think that if their body touched, the spark - what spark? - between them would erupt and consume them once again. Although Damon wondered how possible that was, he still didn't want to push his luck. An awkward silence washed over them for the first time - they were always quibbling with one another. 

"So you get to be this way every full moon?" Red asked out of nowhere, startling him. 

Damon gave her a long look instead, was she talking to him? Wasn't she giving him the silent treatment? 

"Oh yes, I'm talking to you. So answer," She demanded, pinning him with a look that made his heart go into double time. What was wrong with him? Why was his body malfunctioning? Something must be wrong with him. 

"Yeah" Damon swallowed, dragging his gaze away from hers. It was doing weird things to him, "Every full moon the cursed princes become aggressive and blah blah," It was quite an old story.
