Bab 82: Chapter 13: Securing the Gas Station

The journey north continued in tense silence. The memory of the mangled corpses lingered heavily in the minds of George and his crew, the grisly sight serving as a stark reminder of the dangers that lurked just beyond their sight. As the group approached the outskirts of Reddington, the landscape began to change. The dense forests thinned out, giving way to crumbling roads, abandoned buildings, and the remains of a once-thriving community now overrun by nature and chaos.

In the distance, the gas station came into view. Its large, weather-beaten sign hung crookedly from rusted poles, and the surrounding asphalt was cracked and littered with debris. The windows of the station were broken, and the inside looked like it had been abandoned for years. Despite its dilapidated state, it was exactly what they had been searching for, an intact location with potential supplies and, more importantly, fuel.
