Master Edward, always the observant one, handed Li Yang a gift. "For your initiation," he said, presenting three blank cards.
Li Yang reached out, fingers grazing the cards. "Are these... storage cards?" he ventured a guess.
Edward nodded, a hint of pride in his eyes. "Indeed, they are mid-level storage cards, capable of storing up to ten items, regardless of their size."
Expressing his gratitude, Li Yang pocketed the cards, eager to utilize them later.
Edward continued, pointing towards a stack of books on a nearby table. "These are foundational alchemical texts. Since you're now an alchemist, you're exempt from the bi-annual tasks, but in lieu, you must craft artifacts for the academy. Naturally, you'll be compensated in academic credits. Familiarize yourself with these works. Yuan will guide you further."
Li Yang nodded, absorbing the information, but his mind wandered to the teleportation array. He ventured cautiously, "Master, I've heard of teleportation arrays that can transport one to other planets. Is it true?"
Edward's gaze sharpened, "Yes, it is. We possess one here. But it's a privilege reserved for mentors and above. Why this sudden interest?"
Li Yang, thinking quickly, replied, "I was curious about its creator."
"It was crafted by alchemists," Edward stated simply.
Eager to learn more, Li Yang inquired, "Are there any references I can study?"
Edward pointed to a shelf, "Over there. But creating such an array is an advanced technique, perhaps too advanced for your current level. Still, you can peruse them. If you have questions, come to me." With those words, Edward left the chamber.
"Thank you, Master," Li Yang murmured, already engrossed in the nearest book on teleportation arrays.
As he delved deeper, he discovered that the creation of a teleportation array necessitated a medium, an item from the desired destination. For instance, if one wished to teleport to Earth, Earth's soil or water would serve as the conduit. This, combined with the elemental forces, would power and shape the array.
