Bab 151: Another Storm

“You guys can chat all you want.” Cynthia Shannon's mind was full of Tristan Ford's face, and she had no patience to listen to their explanations.

Max Ginger looked at Cynthia's departing figure, then glanced at Wayne Winston, “You really screwed me over!”

He pitied his coveted double bonus, now turned into nothing.

Wayne sneered, “I should be saying that!”

As they were speaking, a burst of commotion was heard from outside. Max and Wayne exchanged a glance and rushed out in unison. At the police station's entrance, a group of journalists had gathered, seemingly out of nowhere.

They were aiming their microphones and cameras at Cynthia.

The two men's expressions changed abruptly. Max's brows furrowed in confusion, “Why are journalists here?”

Wayne was similarly puzzled. This case was under investigation, and if it was indeed related to the smuggling case from three years ago, the appearance of journalists would only spook the suspects.
