Bab 143: Setting the Score

Izan's jaw was clenched as he straightened the papers in his hand, eyes burning with barely restrained fury. The list Martin had provided was extensive, names, dates, transactions, offenses, each meticulously noted, documenting the corruption rampant within the council. He had always known there were snakes in the court, but now he had the evidence to confront them head-on.

Martin and Jaxon, both standing in the chamber after being summoned, exchanged glances. They knew that tonight's events would have a lasting impact on the power structure within the empire. Dillion stood off to the side, his face a mask of steely resolve, as he watched his prince ready to do battle in his own way.

"Is everything ready?" Izan's voice cut through the quiet tension in the room.

Martin and Jaxon both bowed before Martin replied, "Yes, Your Highness. Everything is prepared."
