Elian lay back on the bed, exhausted. It had been a whirlwind of a week filled with tradition after tradition, with barely a moment to catch his breath.

Between ceremonial practices, endless fittings for wedding garments, relentless lessons on court etiquette, and, the most daunting of all, the preparations for his role as consort to the future emperor.

He had spent hours trying on not just the wedding attire, but also the crowning ensemble, after all, Arcanoria tradition required that he stand beside Izan when he will be crowned a day after their wedding.

Elian still couldn't quite believe this was all happening. How was it possible that he, someone who had spent most of his two lives feeling like he didn't belong anywhere, was now set to marry Izan, the prince of Arcanoria, and partner with him as he ascended to the throne?
