Four hefty men waited patiently, their posture rigid and disciplined. The sight of the palanquin stirred a small pang of nerves in Orion, it wasn't just a vehicle; it was a symbol of his first steps into the outside world.

Marius moved forward, but Orion quickly let go of his grandfather's arm and stepped ahead to hold the door of the palanquin open. "After you, Grandfather," he said, his voice brimming with respect.

Marius chuckled at the gesture, shaking his head. "You'll spoil me with this behavior."

Once his grandfather was seated, Orion climbed in beside him. The interior was lined with plush cushions, designed for comfort during the journey. Orion barely noticed them, his mind too preoccupied with thoughts of what lay ahead.

As the palanquin was lifted and they began their journey, Orion gazed out at the passing scenery, his hands gripping the edge of his seat.
