With a crisp clang sound, a shield sudde ly appeared in front of him just in time, and perfectly blocking Amalia's short blade.

If he had been a step slower, he might have suffered the same fate as his subordinates, with blood splattering on the spot.

Unable to land a hit, Amalia didn't retreat.

Instead, she closed in, as the short blade was never her only means of killing her enemies.
