“People in these days and age are so much more accepting of the supernatural stuff. Back in my time, most people were terrified of anything related to it.”

“People change and evolve over time,” Milo explained. “They grow more tolerant with each passing year.”

Kenta was suddenly hit by a pang of sadness. He had no idea where that came from. Then he was stunned when he directed his gaze toward Milo and Jensen. For a moment, he thought he might have seen two different men. They looked familiar, but before he could study their faces more carefully, they changed into Jensen’s and Milo’s.

“Kenta!”

Jensen’s voice startled Kenta back to the present moment. “Yeah?”

“You spaced out for a few seconds there. What’s going on inside your head?”

“I—”
