Bab 1: “And so it began”
"SHE'S LOSING TOO MUCH BLOOD PREP HER FOR SURGERY" a loud sharp male voice says, confused on what is going on Hannah who had lost too much blood to even say anything was being taken to the theatre room "wha-what's…..going on?" She says in a faint voice she had lost too much blood to even be able to speak properly or loudly enough for the doctors to even hear "shit, shit, shit her heart rates slowing down she's going into shock" still confused upon what's happening Hannah asks faintly before slowly losing consciousness "who's...going into shock?..." the males doctor's voice slowly turns into a soft echo as Hannah starts to lose her consciousness.
*2 days before*
The crowded bus slowed to a stop outside the University. Students of different races stepped out, chatting with their friends or faces burying in there phones. Hannah stepped down from the bus and bumped into a guy in front of her. She looked up and flinched. *The hell does he want this time* she thought and smile awkwardly.
"Sorry Ben, look I don't want any trouble Kay? I'm already late for class I need to--" because she could finish Ben shoved her and she fell on her back.
"Watch where you're going you dumb fuck!" He yelled and laughed as he watched her struggle to get back up.
"I already said sorry bro, what wrong with you!" She yelled back as she balanced herself on her feet and stepped back, away from his reach.
"Oh, you're boyfriend ain't here to save you today? Huh?" He taunted and walked closer to her.
She tried to step back but her back met a cold pole and stopped her. She held her hands up to protect her face and closed her eyes as he raised his hand to hit her again.
Some seconds passed, no impact. Then she heard a grunt and opened her eye. Her features lit up as she saw her friend Sun hovering above Ben who was now on the ground holding his stomach in groaning in pain. "Took you long enough..." She said and punched his shoulder.
"Is that how they say thank you shrimp?" Sun replied before looking down at Ben. "Try this little prank again, and I'll have you hung upside down by the basket ball court. Got it?"
"Y-yes!" Ben replied
"Now get the fuck out my face before I spear your ass"
Ben struggled to his feet and before he was about to run Sun kicked his back, sending him to the floor one more time before he could run.
Sun turned to Hannah. "He smells so bad" he made a gagging face and they both burst out laughing and began walking into the gate.
*Afternoon*
"Boy friend? That's a weird title." Sun laughed when Hannah told him what Ben said.
"I hope that not what they all think cause hell no!" Sun laughed she brought out her phone to text her best friend Hami who she realized wasn't in school yet.
Hannah: where are ya?
Hami: almost there, gimme like 3hours.
Hannah: Girl Tf?
Hami: Jk look behind you.
Hannah looked immediately and saw her coming and shook her head. Her clothes were always aesthetic. Her pony tail always neat. Unlike her, she was too messy even to her body. Her hair always seem to never cooperate with her brush. Sun smiled and waved as Hami begins to close the gap between them "looking good as always unlike someone I know" looks at Hannah "why you looking at me?" "Oh nothing" Sun replies leaving Hannah a bit annoyed "let's just go to class can't be late for the test" Sun confused by Hannah's statement asks "what test?" Hami replies "the literature test Professor Gordon told us to study for remember-" Hannah chuckles as she cut the conversation short "you forgot about it didn't you….." "yes" Sun replied both Hamida and Hannah laugh hysterically "HA-HA very funny let's just get this over with" Hannah replied to Sun "you'll be fine you're top of your class so you shouldn't have much issues" Sun then let's out a huge sigh before walking away to class while the two followed behind him.
*2 HOURS LATER*
Sun walks out with a blank expression on his face "well that was something" he lets out a huge sigh Hannah followed behind him with Hamida both looking optimistic about their performance on the test, they both notice Sun looking a bit off then proceed to talk to him "That bad huh?" Hannah asked "not really" Sun replies yawning "but I thought you were screwed" Hamida confused asked Sun causing Sun to chuckle then replies "just because I said I was screwed doesn't mean I'm actually screwed I've been studying since the beginning of the semester the only reason I said I was screwed was because I haven't covered a particular part of the new novel he gave us to read and surprise surprise it never even came out only shit I'm confused about is why he would give a test for 2 hours" a female voice replied behind Sun "that's because it's worth 35% of our grade" Sun startled by the voice turned around to see Chloe another course mate of theirs "oh shit h-hi Chloe" Hannah and Hamida look at each other then back at Sun who seems a bit tense, Sun "it's been a while" Chloe replied "we still saw each other the day before yesterday at the library" Sun replied in a nervous tone "y-yeah" while Hannah and HAMIDA watch from the side lines "oh he's worse than last time" Hannah stated "worse is an understatement". All individuals are now quiet leading to the atmosphere being a bit awkward Chloe without a second doubt asked Sun "hey are you free tomorrow? If you are I was hoping we could go on a little date?" Sun without a second doubt replied "absolutely" which makes Chloe laugh "guess I'll see you tomorrow afternoon then" Chloe smile before she leaving.
The other two are still standing a bit shocked at what happened Sun looks at them and questions why they are surprised HAMIDA replied "I've never seen a man mess up so many times and still get to go on a date" Sun "really?" Hannah replied "you were terrible" Sun" but I still got the date so it's a win win situation i don't care what y'all say" Hannah "yeah yeahh let's go get something to eat I'm starving".
The scene changes to another area some type of bunker showing people moving around in distress a scientist comes out of his office rushing through the hall way to get to the control room of the bunker upon getting there she is shocked by what she sees on the large screen in the middle of the room. A large unknown object moving towards earth the scientist "what the hell...." Her eyes widen as she realizes that it's not an object and leaves the control room to look for the general but bumps into another scientist who was on his way to the generals office falling on the ground "watch where you're going Gracia" he says as he helps her up "thank you Mr Vermont" he blankly looks at her before waking away replying to her "Garcia enough with the formalities you've known me for a year now don-" Garcia cuts him off "sir with all due respect you're the head of research in this place I have to show a certain level of formality" Vermont stops in his tracks and looks back at her giving her a cold stare "the world is soon coming to an end Garcia you saw it yourself showing me formality or respect shouldn't be your top priority" he replied leaving Garcia a bit uneasy Vermont sighs then tells her to follow him to the generals office. Upon getting there Both Vermont and Garcia enter the office where the General sat still pondering on what to do Vermont gives a little smirk which leads to the General asking why he's smiling to which he replied "oh the reason I'm smiling?.....it's the fact that tomorrow might as well determine the future of humanity as we know it" the general sighs then informs them both "just got off the phone with the secretary of defense we're running serum Z-257" Garcia shocked tell the general "sir the serum is too unstable to be used-" Vermont cuts her off "it's the only chance we have we'll have to make it work there's no point in trying to talk to the higher ups Athena decision has been made only thing we can do now is to make do with Z-257" Vermont then leaves making the General scoff he then looks at Garcia relaying an information to her which left her in shock and dis-belief "General this...it's madness" she tells the general to which he replied "I know...…buts it's the only way to ensure our survival in this war no matter the options and or steps with we take there will always be consequences" Garcia still trying to fishers the information she received decides to leave the general sighs and sits back down with an unsettling facial expression.
