Bab 13: The Medical Demon Kōetsuji
Kōetsuji just finished his breakfast and just got back to the hospital to talk to the boy. After he got to the room of the boy and went inside the boy wasn't there.
" I knew it kids attention span wouldn't want to be cooped up in one place for very long but I thought he would be different considering he's a genius."- Kōetsuji
Kōetsuji scanned the room. His IV stand is gone did the doctors take it out of him? But why is it out of his room they only usually take the needle out for a new one? I shouldn't be concerned about that if I was a small boy in a hospital where would I go?
Kōetsuji found the signs of the play area and follow them. When he got there Seth was shaking hands with another kid his age. Did he bring the IV with him why? Is it because it's still in his arm? His friend seems to be partly deaf she wouldn't have hearing aids if she wasn't. She's red is she running a fever? Better go check.
"E'llo children."- Kōetsuji
....POV change Seth...
A middle-aged man wearing a hakama greeted us as he walked over towards us. But I knew him far too well he's Kōetsuji Akisame the third master of Ryōzanpaku. He's kind, smart, knowledgeable and strict he looks blind but he's not in fact, his eyes sometimes glow when he gets excited. He's probably here because of the Ki I released last night. I have to remain calm he's a very sharp he probably won't say anything about Ki if Shouko's here...Right?
"Hey, Ojii-San."- Seth
*erase erase scribble scribble* {Hello Ojii-San.}
Akisame placed his hand on Shouko's forehead, then her cheek.
<Your not running a fever. Do you mind if you take out your hearing aids?> Kōetsuji
<Sure> Shouko
Seth is not surprised that Akisame knows sign language but still amazed. I wonder what's he's doing?
Akisame then borrowed the remote from Shouko and turned the volume of the tv to the max.
<Can you hear any of that?> Kōetsuji
<Barely most of it cuts in and out> Shouko
<Okay I'm going to check your ears now I'm gonna turn your head to the right then to the left> Kōetsuji
<Ok> Shouko
Akisame started examining her ears and the back of her head.
<All right you can put your hearing aids back in> Kōetsuji
Seth is lost he has no idea what they are saying before he knew it Shouko had already put her hearing aids back in her ears.
"Ojii-San do you know the cause of her deafness?"- Seth
"Yep her Malleus is- *clears throat* for you to understand something is touching her eardrum."- Kōetsuji
"Woow Ojii-Sama you can tell that just by touching her head I guessed your other senses do increase when you lose one."- Seth
No wonder he's called the Medical Demon in the anime. Shouko was nodding agreeing with the fact. Does she have increase senses?
"Hehe I get that more then you think but I'm not blind. It's just the color of my eyes. But enough about my eyes I'm here to talk to you about your treatment Yuuki-Chan. Do you mind if we go to back to your room Yuuki-Chan? I don't wish to talk about your troubles or your treatment in front of your friend."- Kōetsuji
"Ok, but I have a few questions what's your name? And why are you not wearing hospital scrubs?"- Seth
"Oh, apologies my name is Kōetsuji Akisame as for why I'm not wearing scrubs I haven't accepted the job to work here yet."- Kōetsuji
"Then how can you give me treatment if you're not my doctor? Isn't that illegal?"- Seth
"I guess they weren't lying when they told me you were a genius. Do you not trust me Yuuki-Chan?"- Kōetsuji
Oh no, I'm pushing his buttons, I should stop but no sane child would go with him after hearing that. The air started getting tense, I took a look at Shouko she seems worried about me I should probably just go with him to get this over with.
"It's not that Ojii-San you have a... Calming feeling? More like you won't hurt us I just find it a little weird. So can we go now?"- Seth
"Yes of course. 'I guess he is a genius he doesn't want me to hurt her if I am dangerous so he's trying to lead me away' "- Kōetsuji
I put the novel back in its place and move the chair back to where it was before I put it near the bookshelf.
"Lead the way."- Seth
In Kōetsuji eyes, those three words said a thousand words.
