Adelina's stiff face immediately softened, and a bright smile stretched across her lips.
"Is that okay?"
Although her eyes were damp with tears, her genuinely joyful face seemed so unique. He'd merely allowed her to send letters, but she looked like she'd been given the world. Her face was so bright that it was almost blinding.
This was the second time. He felt a strong emotion towards her that he had never felt with another woman. Although it was strange, Ethan didn't hate it. No, if it were up to him, he wanted to draw closer and bask in the light.
