Ringkasan
Evelina Moore has spent her life enduring hardship at the hands of her own family. After her mother’s mysterious death, she was left under the control of a manipulative father and stepmother who stripped away her inheritance and cut her off from her maternal family. Even betrayed by her fiancé, Liam Hayes, Evelina refuses to let her spirit be broken.
When her stepsister’s arranged marriage to the nation’s wealthiest family falls apart on the wedding day, Evelina is forced to take her place at the altar. She finds herself wed to Leone Hargrave, an elusive heir surrounded by rumors of a cold, untouchable demeanor and even disfigurement. Yet, to her surprise, Evelina encounters a man of striking presence and unexpected gentleness.
Bound by a marriage neither anticipated, will Evelina’s warmth break through Leone’s guarded heart? And could he become the protector she’s always needed, helping her reclaim the legacy that was stolen from her?

Tulis ulasanYeah, so reading this book for quite a while. Been a total fan of the sinister plot. The text keeps you hooked up from the very start of the book. The plot following the musings of an abandoned first child of a prosperous CEO, mentally tortured by a stepmother manages to marry into the family of the richest businesswoman. the plot follows themes of betrayal, suffering, happiness, sinister plans, cunning dialogues and drama. the novel is pacy and well presented. I would clearly recommend readers to give it a read. though the world background still seems a bit vague, there is a lot of room for improvement and the author can, I believe cover them in a jiffy. Highly recommended!
