They planned to visit Xiao Jinlan's ward to see how she was doing.

When he reached the door of the ward, Caroline stopped and turned his head to look at Eddison.

Eddison touched her head. "Don't be afraid, Honey. Mom may have been waiting for you."

She was so timid that she lost the courage to come in though she had already arrived.

Eddison then patted her head. Caroline took a deep breath, and then placed his hand on the doorknob's handle. With a light twist, he pushed the door open.

Then, he saw that the mother on the hospital bed was already awake. She was currently leaning against the head of the bed. When she heard the noise, she looked towards the door, just so happened to meet Su's gaze.

Su's eyes immediately became wet with tears.

Her mother was no longer young and beautiful, but she knew that this was her mother, the mother she had lost twenty years ago.
