Jessie's face had turned an alarming shade of red. After all, she had claimed that she had been playing the violin for more than a decade, whereas Claudia said that she was still new to the violin.

As a result, she was humiliated to have lost to Claudia.

Claudia graciously said, "Thank you for competing with me, Jessie. Since we are both girls, I won't be able to drink in your place. I hope you understand."

A waiter brought up a glass of wine for Jessie as her punishment. "I admit defeat." Then, she raised her glass and chugged it down.

There was a warm applause all around.
