Bab 2043: Injured Goddess of Mercy!

Layers of waves rolled and crashed against an island made of stacked crystals.

As the waves washed the edges of the island, the crystals there were smoother than the rest.

As sunlight fell on the island, the crystals absorbed the sunlight and refracted rays of light.

Two girls with fishtails peeking out of their long skirts were using brushes with animal hair bristles to scrub the blue moss growing on the surface of the island.

While the two girls were scrubbing, they looked extremely serious. It was as though they would be punished if they did not scrub all of the moss off.

Once they scrubbed all of the moss off, one of the girls said quietly to another girl, "Ah Jing, do you think that things have been strange recently? The Goddess of Mercy hasn't punished any servant in the past month. In the past, at least ten servants were sunk to the bottom of the ocean to feed the sharks monthly."
